The Charity Chairman Mr Kevin Foster and his wife Yvonne would like to express our huge thanks to all the members who have helped to raise £1800 for our chosen Charity Speakeasy Bury. An extra special thank you goes to our amazing team who have worked very hard all year, John & Tammy Cooke and Julian & Shelley Ford. Thanks to Julian, Tammy, Tony and Yvonne who ran the Stanley Park Blackpool 10k in awful conditions, to Shelley, John, little Jessica, Louise and Andy for standing in the gales and cheering them on and to Shelley for providing much needed warmth, brews and sandwiches afterwards. Of course not forgetting the amazing Mr Tony Hails for his training encouragement and who finished his race and came back for each and every one of them so they didn`t quit. Also many thanks to Peter & Gabby Oxley, for helping with the Air Show charity raffle and of course to all the amazing children of the Centre who have raised their own contributions with the bonus ball and other activities. Also many thanks to Christine Lunn for her jam making and anyone else that has helped with raffles and donating prizes etc. There are too many of you to mention. We are very proud of everyone and grateful to you all. It is fantastic to know that this much needed money will help to change the lives of stroke survivors in Bury and they were all delighted to receive the cheque. This is a much needed Charity that doesn`t receive any funding, everything come from fund raising. This morning we watched a man that had lost the ability to speak seven years ago stand up and give a presentation, which is due to the work, support and dedication that Speakeasy provides. It was heart warming to watch.
